3 DIY’s To Do With Your Bridesmaids
DIYing parts of your wedding is a great way of adding a personal
stamp on your big day and can help save you money. However, it can
be time consuming and tedious, so we suggest enlisting the help of
your bridesmaids! Not only will it be fun, but making a day of it
with your girls will get the job done quicker and is a great way
for your bridesmaids to bond if they don't know each other very
well. So grab the glue gun and the girls and let's get
creative!
First of all it's worth finding out where your bridesmaids
skills lie. Perhaps one of them is great at calligraphy or another
is a dab hand at sewing? Once you know what they do best, allocate
them jobs and set up your production line! Don't forget to have fun
and try not to get too hung up on the DIY's being perfect.
They will all have little imperfect quirks which will only add to
the home made charm!
Favours are one of the most popular things to DIY for the
wedding. From personalised gift boxes to pretty favour bags and
cute jars filled with treats, there is a never ending list of fun
and fabulous ideas for DIY wedding favours. Due to the number of
favours you'll need to make, this is defiantly one for your
bridesmaids to help you out with.
Don't feel like you have to make everything from scratch when
you are doing DIYing for your wedding. Be realistic about how much
time you have and expect DIY's to take longer than you think!
Customising things that have already been made, is a simpler way
to create a unique and personalised item. Our DIY wedding
invitations are a great example of this, just by adding ribbons and
charms or by mounting them on coloured paper makes them personal to
you. Again, like the favours, due to the number you will need this
is a DIY you should get help with!
Don't underestimate how much bunting or the number of pom poms
you'll need if you are decorating your marquee or venue in them,
which is why this also makes a great DIY with your
bridesmaids.
